Work model: Hybrid (3 days from the office, 2 days remote)

Build greater transparency across complex systems as an IT Observability Engineer at Starbyte. You will work with metrics, traces, and logs, using open standards and automation to make system behavior easier to understand, monitor, and improve.

This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of a modern observability landscape, support engineering teams with better system insights, and contribute to the reliability of business-critical platforms used across multiple countries.

What will your day look like?

You will help keep the observability environment reliable, useful, and easy to improve. Your work will combine operations, data analysis, automation, and close collaboration with technical teams.

  • Monitor the observability landscape and maintain a clear overview of system performance

  • Analyze metrics, traces, and logs to identify useful technical and business insights

  • Maintain and continuously improve the monitoring infrastructure

  • Automate recurring tasks and processes across the observability environment

  • Support development teams with instrumentation and observability practices

  • Build and improve Grafana dashboards and alerting to make system and business performance easier to understand

You are the right candidate if…

  • You understand the three pillars of observability: metrics, traces, and logs

  • You have practical experience with OpenTelemetry Collectors

  • You are confident working with Prometheus and Grafana

  • You know Terraform and have experience with GitOps workflows, preferably Flux

  • Experience with GCP, Java, JavaScript, or Angular would be an advantage
