DevOps Engineer

Location: Sarajevo 

Work model: Hybrid (3 days from the office, 2 days remote) 
 

Build and improve reliable engineering systems as a DevOps Engineer at Starbyte. You will work with Kubernetes, CI/CD, infrastructure as code, automation, and observability to make application delivery and system operations more reliable and easier to manage. 

This role gives you the opportunity to work closely with development teams, strengthen Starbyte’s DevOps setup, and gradually take more ownership of observability across business-critical systems.

What will your day look like? 

You’ll start close to the development teams to understand Starbyte’s application landscape, deployments, and CI/CD setup. As you get familiar with the environment, you’ll gradually take on more observability work while continuing to contribute across DevOps. 

• Work with development teams on CI/CD pipelines, deployments, and operational topics 

• Use Kubernetes and infrastructure as code to maintain and improve technical environments 

• Automate recurring operational processes and reduce manual work 

• Improve monitoring, dashboards, alerting, metrics, traces, and logs 

• Support engineering teams with instrumentation, troubleshooting, and better system visibility 
   

You are the right candidate if you...

• You have hands-on experience with Kubernetes 

• You have practical experience with CI/CD pipelines 

• You have worked with Terraform or another infrastructure-as-code approach 

• You have hands-on experience with Grafana 

• You are motivated to learn and gradually develop deeper observability expertise
