How Tea Changed Her Career Path to Recruitment

What does it take to become a recruiter?

The greatest thing about recruitment is that you don’t have to finish a certain college or go through specific courses to become a recruiter.

All it takes is to have a customer-centric approach and to be able to work with KPIs.

Also, no previous experience is neededat least when it comes to Popcorn Recruiters! We pride ourselves in our onboarding process and aim to position ourselves as the market leaders in the recruitment industry, so all our new team members get all the training they need.

That’s why we gladly accept applications from talented individuals without any previous work experience, as well as numerous customer support, sales, and marketing professionals, project managers, call agents and even language teachers.

Meet Tea one of our newest team members and a trusted Talent Research Specialist! Here’s what she had to say about the entire journey.

As someone who was sure marketing was the way to go I was pretty hesitant to start something completely new and different. I am personally not a fan of changes or risks but I decided that this was the time to take the leap and I can say that it for sure paid off. Not only that taking risks is the way to grow and see how much of my skills I could incorporate into this job position, but this career shift made me realize how much creativity recruitment actually entails. 

Making an innovative and engaging sales pitch, putting high emphasis on personal branding as an inevitable part in recruitment marketing and getting to brainstorm for new strategies for each new position sounds like a perfect blend of the things I love. Nowadays I have the chance to meet various profiles of people, listen to their career stories and often even change their lives. 

Last but not least, I can say that I overcame all of the challenges I was once nervous about thanks to the amazing team at Popcorn Recruiters. A well-thought-out onboarding process, positive atmosphere, and constant praise for even the smallest achievements is what made the first couple of months fly by and I can surely say that I have never felt more comfortable at a workplace. 

Now I consider myself a kernel just waiting to pop and turn into a Popcorn Recruiter -(popcorn puns are something I quickly got used to!)
