On June 26th and 27th we held our second Popcorn Recruiters Academy. Our presenters Anja Bećirspahić, Andrea Todić, and Šejla Hajrić had an opportunity to get to know 20 ambitious individuals, who were more than eager to participate, discuss, and share their experience.
The aim of this two-day event was to gather students and recent graduates who have a desire to build their careers in the recruitment industry. Through interactive presentations and quizzes, the participants had an opportunity to gain insight into full-cycle recruitment, what is it like to conduct an interview, build Boolean strings, write an agency brief, and launch a recruitment marketing campaign.
Even though the Academy was held online, it was very engaging and quite helpful. At least, that’s what our participants say!

Popcorn Recruiters Academy taught us very practical things. The experienced presenters managed to teach us about the most important recruitment concepts in a very interesting manner. This experience was quite refreshing for me, as the teaching approach was much different than it is at universities.
The best part is, everything we learned is not only applicable in the recruitment industry. We discovered what recruiters are looking for, how to create an eye-catching CV, how to do personal branding the right way, and how to optimize our LinkedIn profiles. All in all, it was a very pleasant experience!

My experience has been very positive. I’ve gained new insights into the recruitment world but also greatly expanded my preexisting knowledge. Nowadays, I’d say, having some skills in recruitment can be only beneficial – much like knowing a bit about the economy, having some basic finance and business skills.
