How Rialda Changed Her Career Path to Recruitment

What does it take to become a recruiter?

The greatest thing about recruitment is that you don’t have to finish a certain college or go through specific courses to become a recruiter.

All it takes is to have a customer-centric approach and to be able to work with KPIs.

Also, no previous experience is neededat least when it comes to Popcorn Recruiters! We pride ourselves in our onboarding process and aim to position ourselves as the market leaders in the recruitment industry, so all our new team members get all the training they need.

That’s why we gladly accept applications from talented individuals without any previous work experience, as well as numerous customer support, sales, and marketing professionals, project managers, call agents and even a language teachers.

And, our latest Popcorn Recruiter Rialda is one of them!

Rialda’s Journey to Becoming a Popcorn Recruiter 🍿

Meet Rialda one of our newest team members and a trusted Talent Research Specialist! Here’s what she had to say about the entire journey.

“I started thinking and researching recruitment during my postgraduate studies as I was attending the HR classes and really fell in love with the topic. I was fascinated by how many layers exist within the concept of recruitment and how versatile someone’s skills need to be in order to be a successful recruiter.

My previous experience was all about communication and sharing information – I was a museum guide, a radio host, a teacher and a coach. I held on to that experience and the theory I learned at college and from research and started looking for an entry level position in recruitment.

That is when I found Popcorn Recruiters. The company’s fun and colorful internet presence caught my attention and I was soon following them on all social media. At first, the Popcorn blog was helping me in preparation for my interviews with other teams. Then, Popcorns started looking for a new addition to their team and I decided to apply right away.

And so my Popcorn journey began with a fun and informative onboarding process. Within two short weeks I learned a lot about recruitment practices and trends. It makes me incredibly happy to be sharing this experience with the funniest colleagues, in a supportive environment, doing something that I already love so much.”
